Upland hunters are always looking for the toughest brush pant, and Pyke has the answer.  The Dakota Upland Brush Pant is the toughest piece of upland gear we make.

We started with a super tough nylon base layer similar to our popular Northcutt briar pant, and then faced it with a 3 layer waterproof breathable stretch nylon.  Not only will this pant keep out moisture, but it will shed briars and keep your legs protected better than any other technical upland pant on the market.  We also heard our customers, and made some recommended changes.  We added a second zippered pocket at the rear and brought the facing up higher on the leg for added protection.

At just 20oz, it is the lightest and toughest upland brush pant you will find.  As with all of our pants, the Dakota features articulated knees, a gusseted crotch, and a comfort fit waist band.

The Dakota comes standard in a 32” and 34"length, but is double hemmed so it can be lengthened to 33” 35".  See instructional video below

Excellent!

Purchased the Dakota pants for a pheasant hunting trip to Kansas. After two days of periodic run-ins with thick patches of thorny cover, I'll never wear another pant in the field. Others in our group wore differnet brands, and all were jabbed while I remained untouched. I initially balked at the price but as long as they last a couple of seasons, it's money well spent.

Too Tight

These pants seem like they are made well. The waist and length were sized correctly. But the legs fit like skinny jeans. No way I would be able to hop a fence. Even getting in the truck would be a chore.

New cut, too tight

Absolutely loved my first pair of Dakotas. Got a pair for my Dad and an extra pair for myself but the sizing changed. Newer ones were a lot tighter in the crotch and my girlfriend assures me I’m not any bigger. Disappointed because I loved that first pair.

Great quality, fit too slim

This was my 4th pair of Pyke pants. Always great quality, lightweight and durable for tough western sage and cactus. But this latest pair was disappointing because the new cut changed the width of the pant legs, reducing freedom of movement in the thighs.
